Mike E. Frencl
Analytical Chemist
Mike Frencl has a broad background in solving industrial problems and developing methods for the analysis of diverse materials and applications. He conducts chemical and material analyses to identify unknown substances, understand device or material failures in the field, and address other manufacturing-related issues for a variety of Crane Engineering clients.
Prior to joining Crane, Mike performed detailed analytical work for companies and professional laboratories, specializing in solving manufacturing problems and materials failures as well as focusing on standard chemical analysis and method development. His experience encompasses medical devices, adhesives, surfactant chemistry, polymers, pharmaceuticals, ceramics and intermetallic thin films.
His technical skills in the lab include HPLC, Headspace-GC, GC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, drug dissolution, ion chromatography, XRD, EPMA, SEM/EDS, DSC, FTIR and rheology.
Mike is a member of the Minnesota Chromatography Forum.
