Matt Wilber’s 35 years’ experience as a fuel gas industry professional helps Crane Engineering clients find answers to questions about gas-related explosions, fires, carbon monoxide and other incidents. His experience in the development of Mechanical, Plumbing and Energy Codes is important in client cases related to Product Liability and Construction Law. He is also expert in addressing incidents related to appliances, piping systems, venting, ventilation and building moisture issues.
Previously, Matt served as Manager of Codes and Standards for CenterPoint Energy, where he participated on numerous national technical standards writing committees and assisted in the development of legislation on issues potentially impacting natural gas customers. Mr. Wilber has also served on the State of Minnesota Mechanical and Energy Code Advisory Committees, the Carbon Monoxide Task Force and developed curriculum for the University of Minnesota Department of Forest Products undergraduate program for Residential Building Science and Technology.
Matt was a contributor to the National Fuel Gas Code Handbook, 2009 edition, was certified as a journeyman gas fitter for more than 30 years and remains active on numerous state and American National Standards Institute technical committees. He is a frequent writer and presenter on industry-related topics.
