Standards and codes greatly influence how we design, build, maintain, and use products and systems. They appear in every area of modern life; housing, food, transportation, lighting, heating, cooling, and even clothing.

For 34 years our company, founded and led by Thomas R. Crane, has dedicated significant time and effort to participating in code generating, publishing, and monitoring bodies. Mr. Crane himself has been chairperson of key committees in the fuel gas industry, and is a long time featured speaker and presenter on all areas of fuel gas systems. In more recent years, other senior members of our staff have assumed similar roles, providing Crane Engineering with a broad reach and influence in the industry.

What that means for our clients is simple; we know and understand fuel gas systems and can provide expert witness in legal actions involving them. We determine the causes of complex failures and recommend solutions to problems. We can save our clients money in downtime, lost yield, product liability, and even design time by surveying applicable codes, interpreting what impact they have on a program, and how those “standard” issues relate to the I.P. potential in the patent arena.

Crane’s expert staff is also able to do patent verification, proving concept and creating first article defense against later intrusion.
