About Crane Engineering

Norm Anderson has more than four decades of experience in mechanical engineering, including manufacturing processes and management, product development and light construction. At Crane Engineering, he helps clients resolve mechanical and building-oriented issues – often involving water intrusion, water system failures and plumbing incidents.

Prior to joining the firm, Norm ran his own manufacturing engineering and management consulting firm and home inspection service. His earlier work included serving as a principal manufacturing process engineer for a defense contractor. There Norm’s accomplishments earned him the U.S. Navy’s highly esteemed Willoughby Award.

A presenter at U.S. Navy Best Manufacturing Practices workshops and engineering association gatherings, Norm has authored articles and white papers for manufacturing magazines and government defense-related publications. He holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.

Norm has been a member of such industry associations as the Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
