Jeff Pfaendtner is an accomplished professional materials scientist with more than 17 years of experience. He provides expert consultation to manufacturers on materials and processes, drawing on an extensive background in materials development, characterization and failure analysis. He also provides litigation support and expert testimony as needed.
Prior to joining Crane Engineering, Jeff worked for a leading global manufacturer of jet engines, where he developed and implemented superalloy, composites and coatings technologies. Earlier he served as a research fellow at a major university, where he studied high-temperature, intergranular cracking in structural alloys.
Jeff is a prolific contributor to technical publications and a frequent presenter at technical conferences. He currently holds 23 U.S. patents related to high-temperature alloys and coatings. He is Black Belt-certified in the Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and problem solving.
He is a member of the ASM International and The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society.
