Drawing on his nearly 30 years’ experience as a natural gas industry professional, Matt Wilber helps Crane Engineering clients find answers to questions about gas-related explosions, fires and other incidents.
In addition to investigating fuel gas systems, explosions and carbon monoxide exposures, Matt analyzes mechanical systems, design and failures and consults on natural gas issues and LP systems and controls.
Previously, he served as manager of codes and standards for CenterPoint Energy, where he participated on numerous national technical standards writing committees and assisted in the development of legislation on issues potentially impacting natural gas customers. Earlier, Matt worked in the field as a technician and supervisor, gaining experience in gas appliance installation and responding to emergency incidents. He has also headed his own independent consulting firm specializing in natural gas-related issues.
Matt is certified as a journeyman gas fitter and remains active on numerous state and American National Standards Institute technical committees. He is a prolific writer and presenter on industry-related topics.
